Modern-day slavery is among the worst kinds of injustices this world knows. The physical, psychological, and spiritual oppression that victims experience in bondage effectively strips them of their happiness, their hope, and their dreams. Rescue is the first step toward recovery, but it is certainly not the last. For many, the struggle to regain their freedom continues long after they’ve been rescued. Feelings of inadequacy, worthlessness, and crippling despair often plague victims of human trafficking and can make the recovery process long and difficult.
It is absolutely vital to provide rescued victims with resources that will help them regain a sense of normalcy and ensure the promise of a hopeful future.
Counseling, financial advisement, and job training are a few services that would be of great benefit to victims who are trying to adjust to the freedom they’ve just received.
One By One Project seeks to provide services to victims that will aid in their recovery process. The funds raised through the Give Hope to One campaign will be used to fund One By One Project’s specialized services programs. With the proper resources, One By One Project would be able to offer services, including temporary residency in a restoration facility. This type of inpatient rehabilitation treatment can be an invaluable ally in the process of reintegrating trafficking victims back into normal society.
With a goal of $500,000, Give Hope to One will provide the funds needed to enable One By One Project to offer outpatient/inpatient services to those who have escaped or were extracted from a life of slavery. Give Hope to One is an opportunity for the community, the business, the church, the individual, and you to offer one person hope.
